| {Education}Welcome Guest !Friday, May 18, 2012The Ector County Independent School District Division of Secondary Operations includes six (6) junior high schools (7-9), two (2) comprehensive high schools (10-12), Advanced Technical Center/New Tech Odessa/Technology Education Center and Alternative Education/Youth Center. Support is also provided to the Athletic Department and the Career and Technical Education Department (see links below). Our goal is to provide choices for our students to succeed. Students graduating from the Ector County Independent School District will be prepared to choose college, the work place, technical school, or the military. Strong affiliations with Odessa College and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin provide our students with opportunities through the dual-credit courses offered by each of the high schools, as well as, early admissions programs. Go-Center Counselors are on each of the two high school campuses to encourage a college going culture with our students. These counselors will assist in research for various colleges and universities, as well as, the common application and financial aid. College opportunities are not limited to the Permian Basin, as students from our school district are prepared to attend colleges throughout the United States. We are here to serve the parents and community of Ector County. Please feel free to call for our assistance at 456-0002. For Changes to this Department Website: rosa.mendoza@ectorcountyisd.org
