The content of Algebra II is organized around families of functions, including linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, radical, and rational functions. Students will learn to represent these families of functions in multiple ways - as verbal descriptions,  equations, tables, and graphs. Students will learn to model real-world situations using functions in order to solve problems arising from those situations.

In addition to the algebra content, this course includes topics on probability, data analysis, geometry, and trigonometry.

Students will primarily use the newly adopted CScope curriculum. There is no textbook for this curriculum.  However, students will have McDougal Littell book as reference material. This book is also available on CD-rom for students to check out, as needed.  Students will utilize various forms of technology, including TI-83+ or TI-84 calculators and Student Response Systems.
