Ms. Le's Bio
Ms. Le is a SAS Elementary Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Texas Tech University. She has earned an associate's degree and bachelor's degree in English along with a dual master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Professional School Counseling. Ms. Le holds a Texas Educator Certificate in English Language Arts and Reading (Grades 7-12) and School Counseling (Early Childhood - Grade 12).
Ms. Le has considerable experience working with at-risk children and adolescents as an educator and counselor. She values the opportunities to build positive relationships with students to foster academic and personal achievement. Ms. Le’s experience as an educator and counselor has helped solidify her passion for serving others as she continues to work closely with a diverse student population in the school district. Over the years, she has worked with clients of all ages in various settings: private practice, agencies, higher education, and K-12 campuses. Collectively, Ms. Le’s clinical experience in various environments has strengthened her ability to adapt to an ever-changing set of challenges and constraints. Outside of academia and clinical work, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
Student Assistant Services provides short-term counseling and support services for students at risk of dropping out of school.
WHAT IS AN SAS COUNSELOR AND HOW DO THEY WORK?
A SAS Counselor is a trained counseling professional who helps students work through obstacles or barriers that are keeping them from being successful in school or in life. The SAS counselor will deal primarily with social or emotional aspects when working with students. The counselor will help empower students to work on difficult issues that need to be addressed in order for them to make positive life changes. The SAS Counselor will provide short-term counseling services through a variety of modalities and counseling techniques.
