Scope and Sequence
The ECISD elementary librarians collaborated to complete this scope and sequence that meets the Language Arts/Reading and Technology Applications TEKS. It is a guideline for library instruction and how that instruction can be integrated with the TEKS being taught in the classroom. Accelerated Reader is approached differently at each campus. You will need to talk with your principal about your responsibilities regarding AR at your campus. You will be responsible for the purchases of the AR books and tests. Here are some links to give you more information about the program and helps for using the software:

Gale Group Databases
ECISD has purchased access to the Gale Group Databases which offer access to 16 curriculum-focused periodical and reference databases that can be found at:
World Book Online
We now have full access to World Book online. The easiest way to access it is to go to the ECISD homepage, scroll down to the World Book link, and click on it.
It has the entire print World Book, plus it is updated daily. Also, it has current maps, videos, and pictures. If you need the Spanish version, you will find the link for it on the World Book home page.
