Edmodo is a secure, social learning platform for teachers, students, schools and districts. It provides a safe and easy way for your class to connect and collaborate, share content and access homework, grades and school notices. Our goal is to help educators harness the power of social media to customize the classroom for each and every learner.
One of the greatest features of Edmodo is the ability to send Notes and Alerts to students and parents. The students and parents can choose if they want to receive the messages through email or as a text message. The teacher decides if the message is sent immediately or scheduled to be sent at a later time.
To sign-up for an ECISD Edmodo account you need your School Code, which can be found on the Teacher SharePoint site at http://sp/campus/teachers/edmodoinfo/default.aspx.
This site also contains links to important information from the Edmodo Help section, such as “Send a Post” and Teacher Rollout Resources.”
Once you have your School Code go to http://ecisd.edmodo.com to create your account. Then create groups so that your students can join you on Edmodo.When your students join, parent codes are automatically generated so that the students’ parents can join.

All students under age 13 must have a signed Edmodo Parent Permission Letter kept on file with the teacher. The parent permission letter can be found on the TeacherSharePoint site.
