Goals of ECISD Police Department
Recognizing that each part is essential in the overall mission and goal of the school district, our department is committed in establishing practices that are supportive of these goals. To support a Safe & Supportive learning environment, the ECISD Police Department has established practices directed at achieving these goals.
Our number one priority is to establish and create a safe environment for the students and teachers. Having Licensed Peace Officers to see our mission is achieved, is critical in the achievement of this goal.
The ECISD Police Department is committed in keeping its Police Officers and Tele-Communicators trained and equipped with the most up to date training and equipment available. The goals of the department could not be reached without the support and vision of ECISD Administration, as well as the support that it has earned by its community that we serve.
The ECISD Police Department is committed to the adopted principles of 4 Non-negotiables and is committed in doing its part to see these through. We are committed in achieving a Safe and Supportive Learning Environment, one of the 4 Non-negotiables, by having a professionally trained and organized department. The department will be pro-active, visible, available and will continue training its personnel with the most current and up-to-date practices available, to meet the needs of the school district community.
Consistent with the principle of “Purposeful, Timely two- way Communication”, employees of the department will also keep an open line of communication that is disseminated quickly, with the purpose of delivering information, which is critical in establishing trust that instills a sense of partnership in the community that it serves.
