ECISD Board Policy requires that any medication given by school personnel must be received by the school in the ORIGINAL container with the prescribed directions clearly labeled. Only a thirty-day medication supply of any controlled substance medication can be maintained in the school's possession at one time (Ritalin, Adderall)
Parent must take the medication to the main office with a signed medication form on the morning of the first day medication is to be taken at school. Medication permission forms are available in the school office or under the forms link.
Any medication sent to school that is not in the Original container with prescribed directions WILL NOT be given and will be returned to you. Medications should not be left in the classroom, on the teacher's desk or in a pupil's lunch box.
We are happy to administer medication for you when it is prescribed by your doctor and we appreciate your cooperation. Medications should be dispensed by the parents that can be given before or after school hours. These simple rules are designed for the protection of our students.
