In May, 2012, the ECISD Board of Trustees approved a partnership with Cenergistic (formally Energy Education), a firm whose mission is to help organizations reduce their overall utility usage and operations cost by providing a combination of tools, training, technology, engineering and analysis that are guaranteed to reduce energy costs. Projected cost savings during this partnership will be over $10 million over a ten-year period.
Overall cost avoidance (savings) from May 2012: $11,841,910 (25% reduction) & counting.
Our conservation efforts have reduced CO2 output by 47,422 metric tons which is the equivalent of 9,880 cars taken off the road each year, the CO2 absorbed by 1,215,960 tree seedlings grown over a 10-year period.
