    SBEC Standards
    1. All teachers are required by SBEC ([Texas] State Board of Educator Certification) to be proficient in 6th – 8th grade Technology Application TEKS. See SBEC Standards for All Teachers and the ECISD Technology Skills Self-Assessment
    STaR Chart
    1. All Texas school districts are required by TEA to comply with state and federal regulations regarding integrating technology into the school curriculum and infrastructure. To help districts, administrators, and teachers accomplish this integration, a tool with an evaluation rubric has been developed. It is called the STaR Chart. For a school district to receive technology funding, STaR Charts must be submitted yearly to TEA. (STaR Chart performance descriptions).
    ECISD ePlan
    1. In order to receive federal funds, the District must file a technology ePlan that meets the requirements of E-Rate and No Child Left Behind legislation. On the ECISD web site, there is a posting of Ector County ISD’s Technology ePlan. The ECISD ePlan is also posted on the TEA Texas e-plan site.
