AVID Secondary

AVID Secondary Overview

AVID Secondary is a comprehensive program for grades 6–12 that bridges the gap between students’ aspirations and their readiness for college and careers. At its core is the AVID Elective which is a daily class that builds academic skills, college and career knowledge, and student agency.  Beyond the Elective, AVID strategies are integrated schoolwide. Teachers receive training to implement research-based practices that boost student engagement and achievement. As AVID expands, it fosters a culture of rigor and support across all classrooms.
