Crockett Middle School MYP (New for 2024-2025)

Crockett Middle School  is named after David "Davy" Crockett (8/17/1786 to 3/6/1836). He was a 19th-century American folk hero, frontiersman, soldier, and politician. He is best known for his coonskin cap and fighting at the Alamo in 1836.

The now David Crockett Middle School was first established as the David Crockett Junior High in 1981 as a 7 - 9 grade level campus. It remained a junior high campus until 2015 when the district transitioned all junior high schools to a middle school model. Crockett Middle School now serves grades 6-8 and is a Choice School for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP).

CMS students have earned many recognitions and awards throughout the years. The school's trophy case, located in the main foyer, houses hundreds of trophies, including boxing, track and field, cheerleading, and many other sports. In addition to athletic awards, academic trophies are abundant thanks to our octathlon teams when freshmen attended Crockett Junior High.
