Elementary Programs

Ector County ISD is proud to include fine arts education at the elementary level as an integral part of its strong curriculum. Each elementary campus is served by a music specialist inclusive of all grade levels. These specialists incorporate strategies from multiple proven pedagogies which are aligned to state and national standards supporting the development of the whole child through music. Specified campuses include instruction in art taught by specialized teachers outside the traditional classroom. In addition, every elementary grade level participates in a variety of programs and field trips developed to broaden their exposure to the arts in the community affording them the opportunity to recognize its value as well as the potential for a lifelong career. These offerings are enhanced greatly at Milam Magnet Elementary, a fine arts focused campus.
