Statewide Programs of Study

  • In the Career & Technical Education (CTE) section of the course guide you will find twenty-six programs of study offered by Ector County ISD.  Each program of study is aligned to occupations that meet Texas labor market criteria for in-demand and high wage occupations including projected job growth, annual job openings, and the state median wage. Each program of study leads to postsecondary education, training opportunities, and aligns to statewide graduation endorsements.

The program of study frameworks help to provide a clear high school plan for students to study a career field of interest in-depth.  Each framework lists the course sequence, dual credit and industry-based certification opportunities, and aligned occupations.  The second page of each framework provides course level information to include the course number, grade level, prerequisites, and course description.
