    Beginning Violin*, Viola* or Cello* courses are open to any 6th grade student, new to orchestra program.
    Enrolled students WILL need to have their own instruments.
    Local music stores ("In Tune", "Music World", "Paesano") 
    provide wide range of affordable  options, including rent to own.
    In addition to local music stores many other options are available: teacher approved affordable instruments can be found at Musicalmart.net with prices starting at $49.99.  or check  various local newspapers or Internet sites  
    Beginning bass students, SCHOOL INSTRUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE !
    Please keep in mind that signing up for orchestra does not guaranty you a school instrument.
           Students will have opportunity to learn basic playing techniques on the instrument of choice (VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO or BASS) and international language of music (reading, writing and counting music notation) as well as fundamentals of music appreciation.
        After successful completion of this course, students will be ready for exiting performing opportunities as a 7th grade member of Intermediate or Advanced Orchestra. 
     Intermediate Orchestra Course
    (open to 7th grade students )
     This course is designed to improve, re-teach and transition students from elementary to intermediate level of playing. 
    Available  to 7th grade students  who enrolled and completed 6th grade  beginning level

    Advanced Orchestra Course
    (open to 7th grade students )
    This course is open to  7th grade students, who completed all requirements of first year  learning with excellence and demonstrated satisfactory conduct and positive attitude. This course is designed to transition students from elementary to intermediate and concert level of playing.
    Due to instrument shortages, Crockett Orchestra instruments will be assigned to orchestra students in the following order:  Concert Orchestra students first, followed by Orchestra Two , Orchestra One and and then  Beginners.
    Parents/students who want to apply for a school instrument are expected
    to sign and return required  ECISD Instrument Loan Form with
    non-refundable payment of $35.00 for instrument & supplies maintenance cost
    Checks should be made payable to Crockett Orchestra)

      Note: All school instruments must be returned after Spring Graduation Concert in May for inventory and repairs. Students who use school instruments will be unable to practice during the long summer break. Therefore, if at all possible, please consider obtaining your own instrument.

     This course will provide students with hands-on learning experiences through daily rehearsals .

    All eligible students may gain valuable orchestra, solo and ensemble concert experience through participation in many opportunities for excellence, provided by ECISD FINE ARTS PROGRAM:

    E.C.I.S.D.   Solo and Ensemble Contest;
    All-City orchestra,UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest,
    UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest,

    Winter, Spring & West Side Orchestra Concerts,
