Little message to all AP US History Students/Parents:
"I don't assign daily homework, but your son/daughter has homework daily in my class!!!"

Introduction: Welcome to Mrs. Lewis’ AP United States History class. Advanced Placement United States History is a challenging course that is meant to be the equivalent of a freshman college course and can earn students’ college credit. It is a two semester survey of American history from the migration of Native Americans across the Beringia to the present time. Solid reading and writing skills, along with a willingness to devote considerable time to homework and study, are necessary to succeed. Emphasis is placed on critical and analytical thinking skills, essay writing, and on interpretation of primary and secondary sources. This course will include lecture, note taking, independent practice, document based question analysis, and writing assignments. Students will need to take primary role in their learning. Though I will available for guided help, the student must take the initiative to be successful in this course. At any point that the student feels that they need individual instruction they must directly contact me and come for tutoring. DO NOT fall behind – it’s very difficult to catch up.
