113 students recognized for their performance on AP Exams

Ector County ISD is proud to announce a total of 113 students are being recognized as AP Scholars for the tests take in the 2024-25 school year. That is a significant increase from the previous year.

At the conclusion of an Advanced Placement (AP) course, students are given the chance to take a corresponding AP exam on which they earn a score from 1 to 5, 5 being the best score. All public universities and colleges in Texas, and most private colleges and universities, offer college credit for a “Qualified” designation, which is a student who scores 3 or higher.

These students, current ECISD students, were introduced at the school board meeting on September 16.
