ECISD Standard Attire Guidelines

General Provisions

  • Any attire or accessory that is distracting or disturbing will not be permitted on school property. This includes clothing that is too short, too revealing, too loose, baggy, sagging, low-cut, see-through, spaghetti-strapped, or backless.
  • Garments with visible product logos are not allowed.

  • Austin: Navy, Gold, Red, White
  • Bonham: Grey-6th grade, Royal Blue-7th grade, Black-8th grade
  • Bowie: Navy, Black or grade level colors
*Hays Hoodies - Red, Navy, Grey
  • Hoodies prohibited at other Standard Attire campuses

Pants / Shorts / Skirts

  • Dress pants or khaki-style pants, shorts, or skirts are required. Garments made from denim, or those including cargo pockets or drawstrings are not allowed.
  • Only solid colors may be worn in accordance with the attached table.
  • Pants, shorts, and skirts must be worn at the waist and must not reveal underclothing. Shorts and skirts must be mid-thigh in length or longer.
  • Pants must be appropriately-sized and may not be rolled to form cuffs or tucked into shoes or socks.
  • Leggings, jeggings, and yoga pants are not allowed.

Accessories

  • Belts are optional so long as pants, shorts, and skirts are worn at the waist.

Shirts

  • Shirts may be short or long-sleeved, but must have a collar (such as a polo or oxford style shirt).
  • Only solid colors may be worn in accordance with the attached table.
  • Campus “spirit” shirts (including those without collars) may be allowed on certain days at the discretion of the campus principal.
  • Undershirts (short or long-sleeved) that are either solid white or a solid, approved campus color may be worn underneath a standard attire shirt.

Sweaters / Sweatshirts / Outerwear

  • Approved standard attire shirts must be worn under any item of outerwear.
  • Sweatshirts with hoods (“hoodies”) may only be worn with permission of the campus principal.
  • Students may be required to store outerwear (such as coats and jackets) in a designated location while inside the school building.
