Trustees meet to discuss superintendent search

The Ector County ISD Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Thursday night to discuss the search for a new superintendent of schools. Last month Trustees sent a request for proposal to potential search firms and received four responses. The four companies that submitted proposals are Arrow Educational Services; JG Consulting; Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates; and TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) Executive Search Services. School board members want to interview representatives from the firms in person, so the next step will be to schedule another meeting in the next few weeks and invite the firms to be a part of it.

In May, current Superintendent Tom Crowe announced his retirement, effective in December.

The meeting adjourned at 6:17 p.m.
