Very first Bond 2023 purchases are in and in-use

The effects of Bond 2023 are already being seen!

This week, Promethean interactive flat panels began being installed. This work will go on for several months until all remaining classrooms in the district have one. Once Bond 2023 was approved by voters on November 7, our Technology Services Division moved quickly to order these interactive flat panels that are our new standard for classroom technology, replacing the mounted projectors and touch screens.

Updating the Technology Standard for classrooms is part of the strategic plan, and the team’s research showed these – interactive flat panels – are today’s best display for teachers.

Interactive flat panel technology ties in with a laptop for mobility, a monitor, and a docking station so that everything is connected and runs through the keyboard and mouse. The teacher and students can also screen share from any device wirelessly, and it can be used as a whiteboard or to connect to the internet. It includes many built-in tools and gives teachers more tools right at their fingertips than ever before.

UPDATE: As of February 2, 2024 flat panel installations are complete at Odessa High School, Bonham Middle School, Wilson & Young Medal of Honor Middle School, Nimitz Middle School, Dowling Elementary, Ireland Elementary and Alamo Elementary. Permian High School installations are underway. Keep up with all the bond-related news at
