ECISD nursing director chosen among Permian Basin Great 25 Nurses
On April 1, ECISD Health Services Director Rebecca Rhodes received a letter acknowledging her selection as one of the Permian Basin Great 25 Nurses. It was no April Fools joke. The honor, from the organization Permian Basin Great 25 Nurses, is recognition of Nurse Rhodes’ outstanding work and contribution to nursing.
“I didn't know that I had been nominated, and winning was a total surprise,” she said. “I am honored that I have been recognized as one of the Permian Basin Great 25 Nurses. I feel that the hard work I jumped feet first into has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by ECISD and our community.
“I could not have made it without the help and hard work of each of the Nurses and Health Aides. Also, it is awesome that a School Nurse is being recognized as one of the Permian Basin Great 25 Nurses; it truly is an honor.”
Nurse Rhodes received an award and lapel pin allowing her to be recognized for this distinction.
Nurse Rhodes joined Ector County ISD in July 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic. She created a spirit of collaboration while helping develop the COVID-19 protocols and systems that have proven to protect our students and staff. She leads with grace and grit and our District is both honored and thankful to have Nurse Rebecca Rhodes on our Team ECISD.
